MONOLINK (LIVE)
Steffen Linck comes from a background that is often described with the wonderfully vague term “guitar music”. North American Folk, Blues... he's never committed to a single style. And as much as he loves his guitar as a faithful companion on his musical journey – the songs composed for this instruments have a certain flaw. Thanks to melodic structure and the additional use of the human voice they have the power to tell a story - but all too often it's just a very short pleasure. That's why the Berlin based producer is fascinated by another genre that is synonymous with endurance: Electronic Dance Music. Its hypnotic rhythms create a very physical dance experience during long party nights. Already being active as a DJ besides his activity as guitarist and singer in various bands, it's an obvious idea to connect both principles with each other.
A typical Monolink production evolves around a song written on his guitar. It serves as the backbone for percussions, samples, and vocal parts which are usually recorded during spontaneous jam sessions. When performing live he plays this original song in real-time, putting emphasis on a listening experience that is as clean and smooth as possible. The result has great impact on the dance floor, both in terms of sound and stage appearance. Monolink stirs serious euphoria at Fusion, Fuchsbau and 3000° Festival, as well as many other open airs. Also his gigs at trend-setting clubs of Berlin, like Ritter Butzke, Sisyphos or Keller, are highly applauded. In September 2014 a remix that has been produced together with Be.Svendsen climbs to the Top 20 of Beatport's Electronica charts, in the beginning of 2015 he joins forces with the kindred soul of Acid Pauli for his “The End” EP. Speaking of kindred souls: Of course the open-minded crossover style of Monolink makes him a perfect match for the illustrious 3000° collective.
SABO
Dj and Producer William Sabatini, aka Sabo, is a staple in the global dance music community. Heavily influenced by a multitude of cultures from around the world, Sabo’s sound holds much of his intrigue. Sabo's productions take you along a journey into sound, a sonic landscape that crosses several musical borders with mixtures of tropical poly-rhythms, warm bass frequencies, rich percussion, lush tribal vocals, and smooth organic textures. When listening you will undoubtedly find yourself resonating with his intention, imagining yourself dancing in an Amazon rainforest or on a desert plane for a Saharan sunrise. Behind the decks, his innovative approach to each DJ set makes him a consistent stand out at Festivals like Coachella, Lightening in a Bottle, Shambhala, Fusion, Symbiosis, Desert Hearts, Further Future, and Burning Man's Robot Heart bus. As a label boss, he is known for his dynamic vision - heading up his imprint label “Sol*Selectas” which successfully re-defining a new vein of dance music. The label captures a wide array of sounds, enlisting up and coming underground producers from all over the globe, as well as prominent well known producers in the industry, focusing the sound on deep spiritual dance music, guiding its listeners into the future realm with positive intention.
GOLD CAP
Berge Sahakian AKA Goldcap's roots in music are based in an eclectic pool of genres since his earliest ages. Listening to everything from classic rock, traditional indian, orchestra, and reggae, to classical, metal, west-african, and middle-eastern styles of music. From youth, having picked up instruments like the electric/acoustic guitar, bass guitar, classical piano, and various different percussive instruments, it was only natural for him to incorporate an organic vibe into his musical selections. Also being a fan of poetry, films, ambient sounds, traditional instruments, and the spoken word, you will often find him incorporating an eclectic array of samples into his sets.
